Hi, I’m Annie!

I’m glad you’re here. I am a yoga guide and resiliency mentor. A little more about me...I was born with a rare genetic disease that caused my kidneys to fail. I’ve been on dialysis for 2.5 years, awaiting a live-saving kidney transplant. See that cute little bandage on my belly in some of my photos? Well that’s quite literally my life line. Its a permanent catheter that I receive my peritoneal dialysis treatments through. What’s all that got to do with yoga you say?!

Well...throughout my journey with chronic illness, there've been many ups and downs. As my health started to decline, I was struggling. I needed community (to know I wasn’t alone), better mental health, a sense of purpose, and a way to relate to and experience my body in a positive way; I found relief for all these things in yoga.

I feel passionate about supporting people to feel at home in their bodies, when often times it can feel like their body is against them. Having a chronic illness can feel isolating. I struggled with this, and to be completely transparent, sometimes I still do! This is why I decided to offer support to women who are also coping with chronic illness...by taking the time to slow down through mindful movement, to help better live in the present moment, to feel at peace within their body and know that they are not alone in their journey!! I offer coping skills and resiliency resources for the challenges and struggles along the way.
